Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel in a Mercedes limousine/van or Tesla. During your journey your guide will share with you the historic background to your tour. Your tour vehicle offers extra large windows and plenty of space.

 

Your journey to the Burgenland will take about 45 minutes. During your scenic journey your guide will provide you with information about Burgenland. You will first visit the impressive Esterhazy Palace in Eisenstadt, the capital of the Burgenland. Here, Joseph Haydn spent most of his career working as a court musician for the wealthy Prince of Esterhazy.

 

With your guide you visit the staterooms of the Esterhazy palace, including the sumptuous Haydn room where many of Haydn's masterpieces premiered. In the old town you see Haydn's former house and the Bergkirche church with the tomb of the composer.

Then you visit the region around Lake Neusiedlersee, a Unesco World heritage. It is famous for it’s unique landscape with picturesque hills and vineyards, the typical thatched roofs. You may be lucky enough to notice the nests of Burgenland´s mascot bird – the stork.

You will stop for lunch for an authentic meal in one the region's wineries and sample the great red wines of the Burgenland. 

 

You will visit the small town of Rust to see the old bourgeois houses that date back to the 16th century and give the World Heritage listed old town a very unique appearance.

You will be driven back to Vienna and dropped of at your hotel.
